As President & Publisher of the largest business-to-business publication in the region, Melanie Dickinson is a true change agent within the publishing industry. Her drive and leadership to deliver breaking news and in-depth business stories, which are designed to foster growth for local business owners, has resulted in multiple industry awards to the South Florida Business Journal’s editorial and design teams. Melanie was appointed President & Publisher of South Florida Business Journal in 2008. Immediately preceding her return to South Florida she held the position of Publisher of the Birmingham Business Journal. She has held a variety of roles during her 21 years with American City Business Journals, corporate parent to South Florida Business Journal. Her commitment to community can be seen in her work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, The Education Fund and the United Way. She advocates for business and the growth of our region via her board positions with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, Business Development Board of Palm Beach County and the Broward Workshop.
