Iciar “Chio” Zubiria

Sr. Director of Customer Service, Bacardi North America

Chio has more than 25 years of cross functional experience specializing in business development, analytics, strategic planning, and supply chain. These days, she is responsible for developing and delivering the customer service strategy for the Bacardi North America region.

Her personal passion for building high-performing teams and increasing diversity have led her to co-chair the Bacardi Women in Leadership (WIL) initiative for North America. In addition to her day job, she volunteers to inspire others to design programs that drive conversations and action to promote the female workforce. Among the many efforts she supports is mentorship and a 12-month self-leadership module designed to propel future female leaders.

Chio believes her purpose in life is to help and inspire others to become a better version of themselves. This shows up in her work at Bacardi and outside the office. Chio, who loves to run, Zumba, yoga and wellness podcasts, is also a Certified Health Coach.

As a proud mother of three teenage boys, her goal as a parent is to raise independent, kind, grateful young men who find happiness in the little things in life. She hopes one day they will become great advocates for women empowerment in the workplace.

Chio earned her MBA from Florida International University. She participated in an Executive Leadership Program with the IESE Business School and Darden School of Business and as well as an Advanced Leadership Program with the University of Miami, both sponsored by Bacardi.
