Galina Russell is the Principal of Somova Consulting Group (SCG), a boutique practice providing consulting and advisory services to businesses in hypergrowth cycles. Her practice focuses on digital transformation, strategy, operations and finance across shared mobility, fleet electrification, and energy-as-a-service sectors. Prior to launching SCG, Ms. Russell held senior leadership roles with several startups, including serving as a Senior Vice President at Reef Technology, a Miami based technology unicorn where she also co-found and led Reef Energy.

Throughout her career she has been at the frontier of establishing partnerships with public and private sector organizations to pioneer the transformation of traditional transportation & infrastructure into shared, autonomous, and electric mobility.

In addition to leading startups, Ms. Russell worked in multiple fortune 100 companies, including McKinsey & Company and Sixt SE.

As a senior leader, Galina enjoys mentoring other women and employs her experience to help companies better engage their female talent. In conjunction with her career, she is actively involved with non-profits supporting youth in foster.

Galina is well traveled and multilingual, speaking Russian, English, advanced Mandarin (Chinese) and Spanish. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a Chinese language certificate from Harvard University in Cambridge.
