— Businesses throughout the state can participate in the survey through April 1, 2019 —

The Commonwealth Institute (TCI) has launched its Women’s Leadership Development in Massachusetts 2019 Impact Study. This is the second year that TCI is distributing the confidential online survey to better understand employers’ actions and the organizational resources that are in place to develop, retain and advance women employees in Massachusetts.

Returning survey sponsors include Liberty Mutual Insurance, American Tower, DentaQuest, Bowditch & Dewey and Cathy Minehan, former CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

“We are grateful for the continued support of our sponsors and partners,” said TCI Executive Director Elizabeth Hailer. “Our goal with this study remains the same: to keep a spotlight on the state of women’s leadership across the Commonwealth; to provide businesses with insight that can help inform how they allocate resources and programs to advance and retain women; and to be a springboard to systematic, sustained progress for women into leadership roles throughout the state,” added Hailer.

The survey is distributed to companies across industries, of varying sizes and stages—from startups to established corporations. The 2019 survey includes more questions that focus on developing women leaders of color, as well as questions about barriers and accelerators related to creating a pipeline for women leaders. Businesses that are interested in participating in the online survey can email survey@commonwealthinstitute.org. The deadline to participate is Monday, April 1.

TCI has partnered with Researchscape to conduct the survey and analysis. Additional survey partners focused on this effort include the Gloria Larson Center for Women and Business at Bentley University, Hollister Institute, Keystone Partners, Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX), The Castle Group, and new partners: The New England Council and She Geeks Out.
