Kendra

The Commonwealth Institute of South Florida (TCI), a non-profit organization founded to help CEOs, entrepreneurs, senior executives and executive directors of women-led businesses grow their business through peer mentoring, development, and high-level networking, appointed Kendra Phillips, Group Director of Dedicated Transportation Solutions (DTS) to the Advisory Board.

“We are thrilled to have Kendra on our Board. She will be a great asset to our members, offering support and mentorship from a place of exceptional professional experience,” said TCI Executive Director, Laurie Davis.

As a member of the Advisory Board, Kendra’s responsibilities include: serving as an advocate for the mission and programs of the organization, assisting in the development of organizational strategies and overseeing implementation, nominating new members, and providing peer level coaching to members.

“I am so honored to be a part of such an inspirational group of powerful women, and to represent TCI on their Board. I am proud to be a member and of the work the organization has accomplished thus far,” said Phillips.

In her position at Ryder, Kendra is responsible for three key areas within DTS’s growth, including: successful value creation from and implementation of a new operating system, significant operating change through the centralization of activities from four hundred locations throughout the U.S. to three locations, and strategic sales approach to new business.

 

Kendra earned her M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her Masters in Engineering Management from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. Kendra holds a Bachelors of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. Kendra currently resides in Miami, Florida with her husband and their one-year-old son.
