The Commonwealth Institute South Florida confirms Madeleine K. Albright, Former Secretary of State as the speaker at the Sixth Annual Leadership Luncheon Fundraiser

Miami, Fla., Monday, July 20, 2009 – The Commonwealth Institute South Florida (TCI) is pleased to welcome Madeleine K. Albright, Former Secretary of State to speak at their annual leadership luncheon on October 6, 2009.

“We are delighted to have Madeleine Albright as our speaker this year.  Dr. Albright has accomplished a great deal in her career, her story will be compelling and of great interest to women in South Florida,” said Jodi Cross, Executive Director of TCI South Florida.   Like most women, Dr. Albright had occasionally worn pins before entering public service, but it was when she took office as America’s Ambassador to the United Nations, and then as Secretary of State, that she came to understand how powerful a symbol an item of jewelry could be.  Join us as Secretary Albright shares the compelling and often humorous stories behind her unique pin collection, and explains how pins became, for her, a signature diplomatic tool.

As TCI enters its sixth year in South Florida, we continue to support our members and the local communities by providing access to experts and presenting programs that are helping businesses sustain and grow through challenging times.  The Commonwealth Institute is the only community of business leaders that provides access to a collective brain trust for women CEOs and Senior Executives in all stages of business growth.

Early Registration pricing is available until August 31, 2009.  Table sponsorships are available from $20,000-$1,500. Individual tickets are $125 for members or $150 for non-members.
