Role/Position
The Women’s Edge, the premier women’s business leadership non-profit organization in greater Boston has a unique staff opening for an enthusiastic and experienced Manager, Programs & Marketing to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs & strategies to increase organizational visibility, foster community relationships & engagement, and provide administration support to the CEO and the board of directors. While the position is Boston-based, the team works virtually, but meets regularly throughout the Boston area. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, impactful marketing experience, strong networking abilities, and a deep understanding of relationship building.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications

- Develop content and publication calendar for marketing communications and campaigns to engage current and future target audiences.
- Manages social media calendar across all programs and platforms; creates original content, including graphic design; monitor social media for engagement and amplification of messages.
- Create marketing materials and presentations to support outreach and business development efforts.
- Monitor newsfeeds for updates on members, BOD members, and member organizations; repurpose in proactive communications and outreach.
- Manage and update TWE website to raise awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Manage and report on marketing analytics; proactively monitor analytics to enhance digital performance and drive growth.
Administration

- Prepare, distribute, and track communications on behalf of leadership.
- Attend BOD and committee meetings and take minutes as necessary.
- Manage and monitor program budgets and accounts receivable.
- Prepare program budgets and monthly financial reports in conjunction with leadership.
- Create quarterly reporting on marketing programs, email, website and social media metrics.
Programs & Events

- Collaborates on design and planning of annual and one-off events and leadership development programs.
- Manages event-related graphic design, including signage and PPT decks.
- Manage events onsite, including setup, registration and attendee management.
Business Development

- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners and sponsors.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Create and implement strategies in concert with leadership to attract and retain business support.
Community Engagement

- First point of contact for all potential and current members.
- Management of online TWE community.
- Manage membership records and the member billing process.
Breakdown of Activity
-
- 30% Marketing strategy/social media management
- 30% Administrative support for the Executive team, board and committee leaders to drive engagement
- 30% Strategic and administrative support for all events and initiatives
- 10% Member engagement, registration, and serve as the key liaison for all current members
Qualifications
-
- Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant marketing and business development experience.
- BA/BS in Marketing or equivalent work experience, a plus.
- Creative, collaborative, high-energy, innovative, proactive and resourceful.
- Must be a team player/contributor and work independently and remotely.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Constant Contact; knowledge and experience in digital demand generation is preferred.
- Design experience is a plus (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Canva).
- Demonstrated experience with social media platforms and marketing tools.
- Detail oriented.
- Event planning experience a plus.
Salary range: $65-80k, commensurate with experience.
