To all of our TCI community:

The horrific deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and too many others continue to reveal the systemic racism built into the structures of our country.  Since last week, the protests that have swept the nation represent the pain, exhaustion, rage, and desire for justice that we all are feeling.  At The Commonwealth Institute (TCI), we stand in solidarity with communities of color and echo the chant: Not One More.

Just as our political and civil structures are built upon racial injustice, so too are many of our corporate structures.  Here in Massachusetts, the TCI Women’s Leadership Impact Study results have continued to indicate significant inequity with the efforts and resources dedicated to the development and advancement for women of color.  We stand committed to amplify the voices of BIPOC and the business imperative to develop and promote all women by continuing to provide the research, resources, leadership programs, and access to those committed to the advancement of women of color.

We at The Commonwealth Institute pledge to strengthen our commitment to dismantling the systems of oppression and injustice and creating an equitable Boston business community for all women.

In solidarity,
