Fran Dichner, President & CEO of R&L Associates Inc. and the Aries Group, has been nominated for North Shore Businesswoman of the Year Lydia E. Pinkham Award in the Medium Business category by the The Daily Item in Lynn.

The luncheon to reveal the awards will be held on October 23, 2013 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Boston, Peabody.

R & L Associates is a multi-million-dollar woman-owned revenue producer with several divisions, including a national contract engineering division, the Aries Group. The North of Boston Businesswoman of the Year awards are presented in honor of Lydia Pinkham who was born in Lynn in 1819. Raised in the city, she went on to become a school teacher. She began a business in 1875 selling her homemade herbal remedy called Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound. The business became a phenomenal success.
