Boston-area leaders in healthcare, cybersecurity, logistics, and event production join board as organization expands its impact advancing women in business across Massachusetts.
BOSTON, MA – September 21, 2026 – The Women’s Edge (TWE), a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to accelerating women’s leadership and advancing all women in business across Massachusetts, today announced the appointment of four accomplished business leaders to its Board of Directors: Christine Schuster, Kevin West, Lauren Gleason, and Rose Staram.
Collectively, the new board members bring decades of executive leadership experience spanning healthcare, cybersecurity, global supply chain and logistics, and large-scale event production. Their expertise will help strengthen TWE’s strategic direction as the organization continues to expand its leadership programs, research, and statewide impact.

Christine C. Schuster, RN, MBA, has served as President and CEO of Emerson Health for more than two decades, following executive leadership roles at Quincy Medical Center, Athol Memorial Hospital, and Tenet Saint Vincent Healthcare System. She serves on numerous civic and healthcare boards, including the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, and currently chairs the Massachusetts Council of Community Hospitals. Her many honors include the 2024 Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award and repeated recognition among Boston Magazine’s “150 Most Influential Bostonians.” Under her leadership, Emerson Health was recognized as one of The Women’s Edge Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts every year from 2017 through 2025.
Rose Staram is Founder and CEO of RoseMark Production, a Boston-based certified Woman- and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE/MBE) specializing in full-service event strategy, production, and management. Before launching RoseMark, she built a successful career in tax accounting while volunteering on numerous political campaigns, working alongside leaders including Michelle Obama, Deval Patrick, and Hillary Clinton, and later helping produce events for the 2021 Biden Presidential Inauguration. Today, RoseMark manages every aspect of event execution – from strategy and logistics to production and staffing – for conferences, concerts, civic gatherings, and large-scale events across the country.
Kevin West is Founder and CEO of K logix, a cybersecurity consulting firm he founded in 2001. Over the past 25 years, he has grown the company into a trusted advisor helping organizations manage cyber risk through security consulting, testing, and research. Prior to founding K logix, West held leadership roles at Sprint Communications, Auspex Systems, and NaviSite. He is a respected voice on cybersecurity leadership, business transformation, and the evolving role of security in today’s organizations.
Lauren Gleason serves as Vice President of Supply Chain & Logistics Advisory at AECOM, where she advises global supply chains, transportation providers, and port authorities on operational strategy and efficiency. Previously, she spent a decade as Port Director at Massport, leading the Port of Boston’s commercial strategy and playing a pivotal role in the $850 million revitalization of Conley Terminal. During her tenure, the port expanded its global shipping connectivity from 7 to 40 weekly international ports. Gleason also serves as Co-Chair of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts’ International Business Council.
These appointments reflect TWE’s continued investment in strengthening its governance and broadening the expertise represented on its Board of Directors as the organization prepares for major initiatives, including the 2026 Top 100 Women-Led Businesses Awards and the 8th Annual Women’s Leadership Impact Study in Massachusetts.
