As you may know, our esteemed friend and colleague, Dr. Gayle Carson, recently passed away. Gayle was an avid TCI member, Forum facilitator, Forum Committee Chair and incredible presenter during TCI programs. Far beyond that, Gayle, who called herself an SOB (a spunky old broad), was an inspiration and continues to be through her podcasts and interviews and to those lucky enough to have had her as their executive, business and life coach. “Dr. Gayle Carson…had the experience to propel you beyond your limiting beliefs.”
Her son, Scott reflected on the legacy of his Mom saying “She was my greatest teacher and friend, but what stands out most is the energy she brought to each and every situation, to each and every person she met.”
Tina Brown, CEO of Overtown Youth Center, TCI Board member and a Non-Profit Forum member shared her sentiments on behalf of our forum:
“Gayle was one small but mighty Spunky Old Broad who inspired women across the globe that there are no limits to what we can accomplish…and there is no excuse for why we can’t accomplish the things we want – not gender, not race, not age, or any other perceived barriers.
Gayle conquered being a wife, mother, entrepreneur, author, and a radio talk show host (of S.O.B); as well as so many other things…
Most importantly Gayle was a friend and the inspiration we needed as our non- profit forum facilitator
Because of her strength and tenacity, we know that there are no limits to what we can achieve as women…
Her philosophy was simple – It begins and ends with YOU; kick down every glass ceiling, do what makes you happy, and set boundaries…“
Gayle summed up her philosophy saying, “A positive mindset has helped me for more than 30 years.”
